Privacy Policy

How Boxday collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data — including the move details you enter and the plans we generate — and the rights you have under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and the CCPA.

01

Who is responsible

CHAMMARE GLOBAL LOGISTICS LTD (“Boxday”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described here. Boxday is online-only digital subscription software: a moving planner and packing-list studio delivered entirely online. No physical goods are sold, shipped or delivered, and there is no shipping, warehousing or in-person service. We are a planning tool — we do not move belongings, operate as a carrier, or take any freight fee or deposit.

Registered office: 15 Ashford Road, Ashford, United Kingdom, TW15 1UB. You can reach us at support@chammarelogistics.shop or +44 7188898743. Governing law is England and Wales.

02

What we collect

We keep data collection to what the planner needs to work:

  • Account data: your email address and, if you set one, a display name and password credentials.
  • Move inputs you enter: move date, home types, distance, room selections, household counts and free-text notes.
  • Generated outputs: the plans, timelines, room lists, box numbers, diagrams and clips created from your inputs.
  • Subscription data: plan, billing period, subscription status and the last four digits and card brand as returned by our payment processor.
  • Support data: messages you send us and the email address you use to contact us.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage events needed to run and secure the service.

Sensitive inputs. A home address and household make-up can be personal. Please share only what you need for a plan; you can use approximate details, and you can delete a move profile at any time.

03

Collection sources — where it comes from

Our collection sources are limited and transparent. We collect personal data from these sources only:

  • Directly from you: the move details, account information and support messages you enter when you use the planner, create an account, subscribe or contact us.
  • Automatically from your device: technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage events, collected as you use the site and via cookies (see the Cookie Policy).
  • From our payment processor: payment confirmation and limited subscription data after you pay — we never receive your full card number from this source.
  • From service providers acting for us: hosting, database/authentication, email and (where configured) the AI provider, strictly to deliver the service you request.

We do not buy personal data, and we do not collect personal data from third-party data brokers, public scraping or advertising networks.

04

Why we use it and legal bases

  • To provide the planner and generate your plans, diagrams and clips — performance of our contract with you.
  • To run subscriptions and billing — performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.
  • To provide support and respond to your messages — legitimate interests and performance of a contract.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interests and legal obligations.
  • To improve the service in aggregate and remember your preferences — legitimate interests and, where required, consent.

Where we rely on consent (for example, non-essential cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.

05

AI data handling: user input, generated results and files

Boxday is AI-assisted planning software, so this section sets out exactly how we handle your user input, the results we generate and any files you upload. Your user input is the move date, home types, distance, room selections, household counts and free-text notes you type, plus any sample details or files you add. The core planner runs on our own logic; where an AI provider is configured for optional enhancements, your user input is transmitted to that provider only to produce your requested result.

  • User input: processed to generate your plan and stored with your move profile so you can return to it; you can edit or delete it at any time.
  • Generated results: the plans, timelines, room lists, box numbers, diagrams and clips are produced on demand from your user input and stored with the related move profile.
  • File uploads and sample data: kept only to produce and support your result, and deleted when you remove the related move profile or on request.
  • Exports (Markdown, JSON, PNG, video) are assembled in your browser and downloaded by you; we do not need a copy to deliver them.
  • We do NOT use your user input, generated results or uploaded files to train AI models, and we do not sell them.
  • Deletion: removing a move profile deletes its user input and generated results from active systems; support copies are kept only as long as needed to help you, then removed.

Retention of user input and generated results follows the schedule in “How long we keep it” below; you can ask us to delete them sooner at support@chammarelogistics.shop.

06

Payments and the card boundary

Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. Card details are entered on the processor’s secure checkout — Boxday never sees or stores your full card number, expiry or security code. We receive only a confirmation, the subscription status, and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits for your records. The processor acts as an independent controller for the payment data it handles under its own privacy terms.

07

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run Boxday, under contract:

  • Hosting and infrastructure — to serve the application and store data.
  • Payment processing — to take subscription payments and manage billing.
  • Database, authentication and storage — to keep your account and move profiles.
  • Email/support tooling — to reply to your messages.
  • AI provider (where configured) — to generate optional enhanced outputs from your inputs.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the security of the service.

08

International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom and our providers may process data in the UK, the EEA and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or adequacy decisions.

09

How long we keep it

  • Account and move profiles: for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymised after a short wind-down period.
  • Generated outputs: kept with the related move profile until you delete it or close your account.
  • Billing records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Support messages: kept only as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable follow-up window.
  • Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
10

How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and provider-managed security for hosting, database and payments. Secret keys are stored server-side only and never shipped to the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

11

Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
  • Delete your data (right to erasure) where the law allows.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
  • For California residents: know, delete, correct, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, without discrimination.

To exercise any right, email support@chammarelogistics.shop. We will respond within the time the law allows and may need to verify your identity.

12

Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out. California residents can email us to confirm the current position at any time.

13

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run the service, and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser and any cookie controls we provide. See our Cookie Policy for details.

14

Automated decisions and children

Boxday generates planning drafts from your inputs; it does not make legal or significant automated decisions about you. The service is not for children: it is not intended for anyone under 13, and users aged 13–17 must have permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

15

Changes and how to complain

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. If you have a concern, contact us first at support@chammarelogistics.shop. UK and EEA users may also complain to their data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
